The surf you make

Ballast sinks the stern, the gate shapes the wave, and a tap moves it to the other side.

  1. Hard Tank Ballast

Fixed ballast tanks are built into the hull below the floor and sized for each model. Malibu states that every boat has at least three, in the bow, the lounge and the stern.

  2. Power Wedge III

A hydraulic hydrofoil at the transom that lowers the stern into the water in steps. It changes the height, length and push of the wave and works as extra ballast without adding real weight.

  3. Surf Gate

Two hydraulic gates sit at the stern, one on each side. Choose a side and the gates reshape the flow to build a clean surf wave there, so nobody has to move across the boat to switch sides.

  4. Surf Band

A waterproof wrist unit for the rider. From the water behind the boat, the rider can switch the wave from one side to the other, step the wedge up or down, nudge the boat speed and change the tower speaker volume.
